I am a teacher, will I be able to login to my site over the summer?

School Loop will transition your site to the next school year approximately one week before the first day of school. LoopMail, Personal Lockers, News and Groups will be available. We encourage teachers who use the School Loop Gradebook to print a hard copy and/or download a copy of the gradebook as soon as grades are finalized for the current school year. There is a Download Gradebook button for each gradebook which will export the contents as an Excel document. Your website is perpetual and is not affected by the start or end of the school year.

I am a teacher and want access to my course data from last school year, where is it?

Archived course data will be available from a link in a teacher’s homepage Toolbox. Teachers may copy and republish archived assignments, notes, and locker contents with just a few clicks.

Assignments can be copied and republished (teachers will need to select the current course/period as well as the assign and due dates).

Course Locker contents can be copied into another course locker for the new school year.

Progress Reports are available in the archive. Note that the gradebook archive consists of progress reports, not the actual gradebook. The gradebook functionality is no longer available once the archive is created. Only the previously published progress reports are available.

Course Notes can be copied and republished (teachers will need to select the current course/period as well as the assign and due dates).

Course Sites for  teachers will be archived if any changes at all were made during the year. The pages will be archived in a special Archive section of their teacher site. To restore the page, it's just a matter of copying the archived page.

 

I am a teacher who will be at a different site in the fall, what do I need to know?

Those with active accounts on the last day of school will continue to have full access to their account during the summer. During that time you should download all files and images from your locker and/or albums.  In addition, you may want to download a copy of your gradebook for archival purposes.  Teacher websites are not transferable from one school site to another.  School Loop will transition sites to the next school year approximately one week before the first day of school.  At that time you will no longer be able to login to your former school site.  New teacher accounts will be registered after this transition occurs.  You will receive a temporary password notification email for your new school site.

Note: Any teacher who is reassigned without enough time to download their material can contact help@schoolloop.com for assistance in retrieving these files.

I am a student or parent, will I have to register again in the fall?

Scenario 1: Myself or my child is attending the same school as the previous school year.

No.  Your registration from the previous school year will be accessible again using the same login information after the first day of school.

Scenario 2: Myself or my child is attending a different school than the previous school year.

Yes. Accounts are on a site by site basis.  On the first day of school you and/or your child may register for access to they new school site. Remember to use the students Permanent ID number when you register.

I am a student who is no longer attending the same school site, what do I need to know?

Those with active accounts on the last day of school will continue to have full access to their account during the summer. During that time you should download all files and images from your locker and/or albums.  Roughly a week before the start of the new school year, School Loop will transition each school site.  At that time your account will be disabled.
